The team is reportedly working with developers to create content that fits multiple industry sectors, including entertainment, healthcare, design, education, retail and automotive.

Mobile Devices

The rising availability of this content demands that more phones be able display immersive content. The following devices got updates and are more ergonomic, and feature higher resolutions screens, better cameras, better autofocus, and low light capture.

Samsung’s Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, Xperia X, the G5 by LG.

5G In More Devices — Contenders like Intel are improving their technologies to stay caught up with the times and are repositioning themselves as the grid will increasingly need to accommodate high traffic, large files and VR content that hogs consumer bandwidth. Intel is working to better create processors so that more devices can get connected to the 5G network so as to not disrupt our newfound content consumption.

Facebook

At MCW, Mark Zuckerberg unveiled dynamic streaming technology — which compresses 360-degree video on the fly, reducing the amount of required bandwidth by four times and increasing the quality by a factor of four. Thus, the 360 streaming of video in VR will look clearer and play faster.

Additionally, he says more than 200 games are now available in the Oculus store.
