Leaked HoloLens Videos Show Potential New Medium
This is the just the tip of the iceberg for AR
A Microsoft HoloLens project leaked footage showing how its new Actiongram app works.
In the videos shared by WalkingCat (@h0x0d) we see ‘magazine clippings’ come to life as holograms. The leaked video demos designed for Microsoft Hololens show: An alien pet flying around and ‘existing’ in space. The elements are displayed in a two-dimensional gallery (here a user can find all of the characters props and tools available for mixed reality video creation).
Headset wearers can select the icons through a drag and drop interface and put them onto the canvas to become 3D holograms dragging the hologram to a new location.
Users navigate with gesture control and voice commands, to rotate, resize and move the hologram. Then they just press or say record to begin their simulation.
This medium of mixed reality could bring forth a variety of new interactions and applications, in gaming, DIY tutorials, education, fitness, advertising and more.
